Are you a "last minute" planning mom? Good, because I can completely sympathize. I am one of those "last minute" moms that doesn't plan the picture perfect parties. Thankfully, I've pulled off some fun parties for my girls in the past. Poor things!
Two weeks ago was my youngest daughter's 10th birthday. Ten years old!! That's a big one, right? Well, this "last minute" mom didn't plan the picture perfect party for her big 10. In my defense, she wasn't sure if she wanted a trip or a party because she just started a new school. She finally decided "last minute" that she DID want a party. So there I went, scrambling to get a location and crossing my fingers that I would be able to find that magical place that had a spot open to hold this great, "last minute" birthday party for my 10 year old! I tasked her to see where she wanted to hold this magical, "last minute" shindig and she chose Adventure Landing. When she told us that is where she wanted to have it, my first thought was, "They will probably not have a spot open because it's Monday and she wants her party THIS Saturday!" BUT, I decided to call anyway.
By the grace of God, they had spots available! THANK YOU, ADVENTURE LANDING!!! From the first call, the people there were SO NICE!!! They gave me different time options and told me what the party packages included even though you can see what all the birthday party packages offer online. They even informed me that there is a coupon that you can download for $20 off any birthday party package you choose. Let's just say this "last minute" mom didn't have to buy anything else but a cake for this "last minute" birthday party. They took care of the food, the drinks, the fun and even the party bags. I, seriously, couldn't have asked for anything more! TOTAL MOM SCORE!!!
When we got there, we went to Guest Services. This was great because they have someone specially waiting for you to take care of your party. We checked in and we were given our tokens for all the kids. They also take any additional items you decide to bring and let you know that they will be setting up for you and you will be notified once it's all done. This was perfect because it gave us time to greet everyone and hand out the tokens. It also gives the kids time to enjoy the arcade before heading upstairs to the party. Thirty minutes later, they called us through the loud speaker that our birthday party was all set up. |
When we went upstairs, they had it set up with balloons and the decorations were so festive. Our hostess, Haley, was so welcoming and guided our party to the tables and took the gifts to put at another table next to us. From the serving of the drinks to opening gifts, our hostess always asked us what we wanted to do first. She made it very clear that she was there to make our experience easy, stress free and fun. Once we had food and fun, we headed downstairs to enjoy the rest of what Adventure Landing has to offer.
The Arcade Once you come in, you go straight into the arcade. The arcade room is very spacious and has pretty neat games. Our favorite ones were the giant Space Invaders and the big Connect 4. But of course, my daughter and her friends loved all the games because they earned tickets every time they played. They all connected tons of tickets to get prizes. |
Laser Tag Adventure The laser tag room was a lot of fun. Once you have all your party together, the attendant sets everyone up with the gun and explains the rules. The main room is two-stories and the maze is pretty big to be indoor. There's enough space for the kids to run around and try to shoot each other. Parents that are not participating are allowed to go in and supervise. Did I mention the cool 80s music? |
Go-Carting The go-carts were one of the favorites, of course. They had so much fun driving in the quarter mile track. There is a height limit to drive them but they have cars that have a passenger option for the kids that don't reach the pedal but still want to enjoy the fun with a licensed driver. Click to see all the requirements to be able to drive the go-carts. |
Miniature Golf Once we were done with the go-carts, we headed to the mini golf. The challenging 18-hole, Par 2 course is decorated with a cave, landscaping and waterfalls. As you're waiting for your party to putt, you can enjoy the pretty landscape. |
Adventure Landing offers a Saturday special and accommodates groups.
The whole experience was fun. I'm so glad that they had a spot available and we were able to celebrate my daughter's 10th birthday party at Adventure Landing. I appreciate Adventure Landing for helping this "last minute" mom have what was a picture perfect birthday for my daughter, in her eyes.
If you're interested in having a birthday party at Adventure Landing, I wouldn't hesitate. The kids have fun and they make the whole process easy, stress free and very reasonably priced.
